With the growing impacts of Climate Change and the events of natural disasters rising, Pakistan’s vulnerable communities have been at risk. In this regard, PDI, under its Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Program, is actively engaged with the vulnerable communities of Sindh and Balochistan, in the areas frequently hit by disasters, i.e., droughts, floods, cyclones, and earthquakes, with disaster prevention, mitigation as well as adaptation awareness activities.
This PDI publication in Urdu covers the definition and fundamental causes of climate change. However, the publication’s central theme is how climate change affects the daily life and livelihoods of the local communities. The book also carries information about the mitigation measures the local communities can take at the local level to reduce the losses inflicted by the changing climate patterns.
